Montana Court Dismisses Youth-Led Lawsuit Challenging Trump Executive Orders
A federal district court in Montana has granted the Trump administration's request to dismiss a youth-led lawsuit challenging efforts to increase fossil fuel extraction and use.
The court found that the young plaintiffs lacked standing and that it did not have the authority to grant the relief they requested, despite acknowledging that the actions could cause harm to children's health and wellbeing.

The court determined that it is powerless to stop these actions, as that would involve policymaking reserved for Congress, and followed precedent from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in the landmark Juliana v. case.
