UK Leads Polar Climate Change Research
The UK's flagship polar research vessel, RRS Sir David Attenborough, is heading to Antarctica to support climate change science projects.
Operated by the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), the vessel will aid research on various topics, including glacier melt, whale populations, and "hunting underwater tsunamis".

said BAS oceanographer Peter Davis, expressing regret that the US is "drawing back" from scientific exploration in the region.
