Things could've been different, a thought that haunts many when trying to fall asleep.

At night, the mind tends to recall the worst moments of life in vivid detail, whether they occurred recently or years ago.

People often ponder alternate outcomes for negative experiences, ranging from minor incidents like spilling a drink in public to more serious events like accidents.

While moving on and accepting the outcome is the healthy approach, it's human nature to replay moments of trauma, fear, or embarrassment.

Individuals subconsciously contemplate numerous what-ifs and their potential impact.
