Cornwall city council has invited Via Rail representatives to address the council regarding a pilot project that was put on hold due to backlash.
The council has joined a growing list of municipalities seeking to discuss service levels with Via Rail, and has agreed to advocate against potential cuts and operational changes.
"You would have been better off talking to a wall,"
said Claude McIntosh, recalling a previous meeting with Via Rail representatives, which he described as unproductive.
This meeting will be the second in seven years, according to McIntosh.
