A recent survey in Spokane reveals growing concerns about safety and homelessness, with many residents considering leaving the city due to dwindling public trust in local government.
According to the third Spokane Pulse Survey released by Greater Spokane Incorporated, voters feel less safe downtown than they did last April. The survey, which interviewed 600 people last month, found that homelessness and public safety remain top concerns, along with politics, housing, and taxes.
The first survey yielded a countywide quality-of-life score of 3.6 out of 10, which fell to 3.5 last spring and now to 3.3 this fall.
