The city of Fort Smith announced organizational structure changes on Friday, October 24, which were implemented in September.
According to the city statement, the changes were designed to
“improve efficiency and customer service across departments”.
These structural changes come as the Fort Smith Board of Directors and city administration work to set the city’s 2026 budget, with a focus on reducing or eliminating the city’s general fund deficit.
