Two pedestrians were killed and two hospitalized in a hit-and-run collision in Santa Monica on Friday night.
The incident occurred at 9:15 p.m. on the 1300 block of Wilshire Boulevard, between Euclid Street and Euclid Court. According to the Santa Monica Police Department, the involved vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Wilshire Boulevard when it drove onto the sidewalk and struck the four pedestrians.
The driver involved in the crash fled on foot and remained at large, authorities said.
The names of the two people who died at the scene were not immediately released. The driver was being sought on Saturday, police said.
