IrAero Airlines has officially launched a new direct flight between Russia and the Philippines.
The inaugural service was between Irkutsk, Russia, the airline’s main hub, and Kalibo International Airport in Aklan, which took place on October 25, 2025.
The flight, operated by a Sukhoi Superjet 100, had 95 passengers on board and marked a historic milestone in air connectivity between the two nations.
A ceremony was held, attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Philippines, His Excellency Marat Pavlov, and executives from national and local government agencies.
Starting October 28, 2025, IrAero Airlines will operate two weekly flights between Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, and Kalibo, available every Tuesday and Saturday, until March 2026.
