Health Infrastructure has unveiled new details about the plans for the $200 million redevelopment of the Bathurst Hospital.
Construction is set to commence, with site fencing and sheds being established as part of the early works to prepare the site.
The project was initially announced in June 2022, with construction forecast to start in early 2024, but has faced delays, including recent issues with contractual arrangements.
Health Minister Ryan Park attributed the delays to "issues working out the contractual arrangements with the team from Health Infrastructure and the contractor"
The redevelopment is expected to bring significant changes to the hospital campus, with activity starting to be seen ahead of construction.
