Dexter Community Band Kicks Off its 2025-26 Season
The Dexter Community Band has prepared for its first concert of the 2025-26 season, featuring dance music from Broadway, ballet, and the Big Band swing era.
The free fall concert will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9, at Dexter High School. Selections include:
- Four Dances from West Story
- Aaron Copland’s Hoe Down
- Pineapple Poll, a musical spoof of Gilbert and Sullivan operettas
- A medley of Big Band favorites, such as A String of Pearls and Satin Doll
- Dance of the Jesters by Peter Tchaikovsky
