Victorian Access Regime
VicGrid is changing the way renewable energy and storage projects access the Victorian transmission network with the new Victorian Access Regime (VAR), replacing the current "open" access regime.
VicGrid, responsible for coordinating the planning and development of Renewable Energy Zones (REZs), will also plan the Victorian transmission network after taking over declared network functions from the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO).
