With 2 ballots at stake, here’s how Elections Yukon will conduct the count

Conducting the Count in the 2025 Territorial Elections

Yukon electors will receive two distinguishable ballots, separated by perforation, in the 2025 territorial elections.

Ballot Structure

The traditional ballot will list the electoral district, candidates, and their party or independent status, as determined by a random draw.

Plebiscite Ballot

The plebiscite ballot will have the same size but a different design, featuring the plebiscite question, yes or no options, a blue stripe, and clear marking.

Neither of the ballots themselves contain information identifying the voter.

According to Chief Electoral Officer Maxwell Harvey, the two ballots will be separated for electors at the polls to maintain the secrecy of the votes.
