Keurig Dr Pepper has announced its plan to separate into two companies by the end of 2026, creating "Global Coffee Co." and "Beverage Co."
The decision follows the company's acquisition of JDE Peet's and its intention to split its soft drink and coffee businesses, which have been under the same banner since the 2018 merger of Keurig Green Mountain and Dr Pepper Snapple Group.
According to KDP CEO Tim Cofer, the goal is to create "two winning companies – a global coffee powerhouse and the most agile North American beverage leader."
KDP has shared further details about its plans, aiming to complete the separation by the end of 2026.
