The DMV is not a bureaucratic plague seeking control and total cultural annihilation.
Recently, Joe Rudolph published an article in The Observer, titled "The DMV: Humanity's greatest crime against itself", making unsubstantiated claims against the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Rudolph claims the DMV is a "shadowy syndicate hellbent on manipulating human behavior and reshaping civilization through regulation and fear."
However, publishing such a satirical article at this point in the country's history is unproductive, and Rudolph fails to provide evidence to support his claims.
More relevant and better arguments can be made in public discourse, such as through political opinion articles.
The DMV is not a plague, but rather a vital part of American society.
Author's resume: Article critiques DMV satire.
