Peachtree City Man Charged with 49 Counts of Child Exploitation
A 42-year-old Peachtree City man, Justin Maloy, is facing 49 felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child. According to police, he used artificial intelligence applications to alter photos of a known minor into pornographic images.
Chris Hyatt, Public Information Officer of the Peachtree City Police Department, stated that the investigation began on September 15 when a woman reported disturbing images found on her soon-to-be ex-spouse's cellphone.
Through the course of the investigation, forensic evidence was obtained of the phone in question and confirmed a plethora of pornographic images of an underage minor.
Investigators determined that the photos were AI-altered images.
