Lewis Hamilton's Debut Season in F1
Lewis Hamilton was "really surprised" by one thing Fernando Alonso did before his F1 debut.
During his debut Formula 1 campaign, Hamilton was involved in a tense intra-team battle with Alonso, who had joined McLaren for the 2007 F1 season after winning back-to-back drivers' championships with Renault.
McLaren's team principal, Ron Dennis, had signed Alonso and also decided to promote Hamilton, the team's young talent, to F1 after he won the GP2 championship.
Hamilton and Alonso had a fierce rivalry throughout the season, which ultimately cost them both the title, as Kimi Raikkonen won Ferrari's most recent drivers' championship.
