The BEAM Circular Accelerator has appointed Darko Mandich as its new Managing Director. Mandich, previously the co-founder and CEO of MeliBio, brings extensive experience in the bioeconomy sector to the role.
Mandich takes over leadership following the accelerator’s inaugural cohort, which launched in February 2025. The BEAM Circular Accelerator is a partnership between BEAM Circular, a nonprofit focused on fostering a circular bioeconomy in California’s San Joaquin Valley, and gener8tor, a global venture firm.
The accelerator supports early to mid-stage companies that focus on converting agricultural waste into valuable products, such as those in biomanufacturing and waste transformation. Open applications for the next cohort are now available.
