Cardinal in Rwanda Hails Youth’s Role in Africa’s Early Evangelization and Ongoing Growth of the Church
Cardinal Antoine Kambanda has acknowledged the contribution of young people in Africa to the primary evangelization mission of the Catholic Church and their continued support for its growth on the African continent.
In a presentation during a forum on Africa at the International Meeting of Dialogue and Prayer for Peace in Rome, Cardinal Kambanda noted that African youth were
“among the first to accept the Gospel and to be baptized”because they were open to
“new ideas”.
