Applications Open for Allen County's Toys for Tots Program
Applications are now open for Allen County's Toys for Tots program, which was suspended locally in 2024.
The suspension was due to a lack of leadership, with
no individual or organization stepping upto run the program, according to a Marine Corps' Toys for Tots spokesperson.
This year, MidWest America Federal Credit Union, led by Assistant Vice President of Human Resources Andrea Ainsworth, is spearheading the efforts.
With over 6,000 children in Allen County participating in the program in 2023, the need is expected to be significant this year.
- Donations have been accepted since October, with around 100 local businesses participating.
- New, unwrapped toys are being collected through December 1.
