Florida Atlantic men's basketball team secured their first win of the season against Boston College on Monday night, with guard Yohann Sissoko hitting a game-saving three-pointer in an 83-78 overtime victory.
The game took place at a sold-out Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena, marking the third time a power conference opponent has played at "The Elly" in four years. This followed an electric 42-point win against Florida Tech, where guard Devin Vanterpool scored 24 points.
"I don't know that this [game] was pretty, maybe that's just part of it, but what our guys did show is some real fight and resolve,"
said head coach John Jakus, expressing his gratitude for the team's heart and fan spirit that helped them get back in the game.
