Hoover fellow Dan Wang advocates for 'abundance'. A speaker session, facilitated by Stanford Abundance and the Society for International Affairs, was held at Encina Hall.

Stanford Abundance co-president Victoria Ren ’26 asked the audience:

“Who here wants to own a house in their lifetime?”
Almost everyone raised their hands.

Author and Hoover fellow Dan Wang shared insights into cultural work ethics and the abundance movement. Stanford Abundance co-president Shreya Mehta ’26 noted:

“Not a ton of people at Stanford are necessarily thinking, I want to build something that is going to help my society”
.

The session, titled “America’s Lawyers vs. China’s Engineers”, provided attendees with new perspectives on how cultural work ethics impact policy and people's lives.
