McPhaul Edges Out Kerr for Gainesville School Board Seat
Trey McPhaul won the Gainesville Board of Education District 2 seat, narrowly defeating Amy McKinney Kerr with a margin of just 11 votes, securing 50.76% of the vote.
McPhaul, a local business owner and parent of children attending Gainesville City Schools, aims to improve equitable access to learning opportunities.
"I think we have so many programs and things that exist currently and could be brought to the forefront,"He stated that his goal is to make these opportunities accessible to all students in the school system.
