Claressa Shields, undisputed women's heavyweight boxing champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist, has signed a multi-fight promotional agreement worth at least $8 million. She plans to return to the ring in early 2026.
Shields last competed in July in Detroit, where she defeated Lani Daniels to successfully defend her heavyweight titles. The event at Little Caesars Arena attracted an announced crowd of 15,366, highlighting her continued drawing power.
The agreement with Wynn Records and Salita Promotions does not include a specified number of fights. It builds upon Shields’ Detroit fight success and offers cross-promotional opportunities for the Flint native.
“From the start of her career, Claressa Shields has shattered barriers in the pursuit of equality and recognition. She became the first American boxer to win two Olympic gold medals, the first woman to headline a premium-cable boxing event, and a multidivision undisputed world champion,” stated Dmitriy Salita, president of Salita Promotions.
“Today, she moves into a new era, signing a landmark multi-million-dollar partnership that will elevate women’s sports to new heights.”
