India delivered a strong performance to secure a 48-run victory over Australia in the fourth T20I at Carrara Oval, Queensland, on November 6, 2025. With this win, the Men in Blue took a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
After being asked to bat first, India posted 167 for 8 in 20 overs. Shubman Gill led the scoring with 46 runs from 39 balls. Abhishek Sharma (28 off 21), Shivam Dube (22 off 18), and Axar Patel (21 not out off 11) all contributed valuable runs.
For Australia, Nathan Ellis was the most effective bowler with figures of 3 wickets for 21 runs in four overs. Adam Zampa supported well, taking three wickets but conceding 45 runs in his spell.
Chasing 168, Australia were bundled out for just 119 runs in 18.2 overs. The team lost wickets frequently and couldn’t build partnerships. Only openers Mitchell Marsh (30 off 24) and Matthew Short (25 off 19) managed to reach the 20-run mark.
Washington Sundar impressed with three wickets, while Axar Patel and Shivam Dube each took two. Axar was named Player of the Match for his all-round contribution with both bat and ball.
Suryakumar Yadav started confidently but fell short of a big score, dismissed on the first ball of the 16th over while attempting a big shot off Xavier Bartlett. Tim David caught it cleanly at deep square leg.
